Michael Levinger
Chief Executive Officer

Michael Levinger is an information technology and healthcare senior executive and multi-time entrepreneur specializing in the successful creation, deployment and use of mission-critical software including EHR and HIT. He is on the faculty of Boston University where he teaches a masters degree course on Electronic Health Records and serves as the Health IT “Ask the Expert” for Pri-Med, a leading provider of physician continuing medical education. Mike is also a member of the Massachusetts eHealth Institute Ad Hoc workgroup on Health IT Workforce Development. Previously, Mike was President and CEO of Concordant, a Massachusetts-based Electronic Health Record consulting and systems integration company. Under Mike’s leadership, Concordant helped numerous physician practices and healthcare delivery organizations implement EHR deployment programs.

Tim Perkins
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Tim Perkins brings more than twenty years of enterprise marketing and sales operations experience to his role as a founder of The HIT Community. Prior to forming The HIT Community, Tim worked with health information technology clients to provide strategic marketing services through his company, CMOoutsourcing. In addition, Tim has extensive background with enterprise software and includes Chief Marketing Officer for Metatomix, VP of Sales & Marketing of Proactivity, and executive positions with enterprise software firms Infinium Software (Software 2000), POINT Information Systems, and McCormack & Dodge.

Rachel Amato
Director of Marketing

Rachel has over eighteen years of marketing, sales, customer service, and operations experience that she brings to her founding role at The HIT Community. With her understanding of online community management, membership engagement, and training, Rachel will oversee all HITC marketing and membership programs. Prior to joining HITC, Rachel managed education and marketing initiatives for the Human Capital Institute, an association for global talent management and workforce issues with over 100,000+ members. She also held several roles at Information Mapping including Director of Marketing, Director of Product Marketing, and Director of Customer Service.
